Getting your child up in the morning and ready to study may be a constant challenge you're having to deal with. If you'd like to make your mornings more effective and stress free, follow the tips in the post below.

How to Get Your Child Out of Bed in the Morning

Teach Healthy Sleeping Habits

First, to get your child out of bed, you need to teach them healthy sleeping habits that will allow them to rest at night. To that end:
  1. explain to your child the reason why they should be sleeping well and enough.
  2. then, work on a sleeping schedule that lets them rest around 8 hours each night (follow this schedule even on weekends).
  3. if you want to have an easier morning, get some things ready beforehand.
  4. create a routine for bedtime (from dinner, until they get to bed), and follow it every day.
  5. put together the perfect sleeping schedule (a dark, clean, quiet room with comfy furniture, and a cooler temperature).

Try Different Strategies to Wake Them Up

Getting them to bed is one thing; getting them out of it is another. Yes, sleeping well helps, but if you need ideas to get them up, try these strategies.
  • sing to them an upbeat song that will make them happy to get up.
  • set an alarm that will let them know it's time to get out of bed.
  • try luring them into the kitchen with their favorite breakfast.
  • enlist the assistance of the family pet to wake your child up in a fun way.
  • lastly, if nothing else works, provide incentives (e.g., if they are up and ready on time for two weeks, they get a special treat).
