It can be challenging to get your child to  experience the outdoors, especially when you get caught up in the day-to-day routine. If you want to learn about activities you can do with your child to get them to experience and love nature, read this article by Stretch-n-Grow, Winston/Salem, NC.

Picnics in the park

Picnics are a great way of squeezing in some nature time during the week. You can take your child to your nearest park and enjoy some afternoon snacks surrounded by nature. This can also be an excellent opportunity to get your child to exercise. Games like hide and seek, tag, or follow the leader can do the trick and will ensure a fun afternoon.

Go Looking for Adventure

North Carolina is surrounded by beautiful nature, so take your child exploring! Doing activities like going for a day hike in the state park or the national forest can be stimulation for your child and allow them to get acquainted with nature. Living this experience will encourage them to want and go out and explore more.

Go Camping

Camping is a great way to get the full experience. Staying overnight somewhere surrounded by nature helps children gain a different perspective about nature and the world they live in. There are also a lot of activities that you can do while camping, like fishing, hiking, and kayaking. Going outdoors can be a great and fun way to get your child to exercise.
