Drink More!
Whether it’s carrying around a bottle of water or taking a few extra sips of their sports drink, be sure that your youngsters are keeping their bodies hydrated. Everybody expect to sweat more during the summer heat but not everybody remembers that these fluids need to be replenished.
The Right Clothing
Your child doesn’t need to look like a sports fashion model, but they do need to be wearing the right gear. A hat, sunscreen, and loose clothing are the best places to start. A hat is the best way to protect their faces from the sun, sunscreen is important to keep their skin from burning and prevent skin cancer from appearing, and loose clothing is the best choice because it can prevent skin irritation.
The Right Time of the Day
While you will want to encourage them to get outdoors during the summer break, it’s important to consider that there are times of the day when it is better they are inside. When the sun is at its peak above your house, consider inside games which they can play until the sun makes it way down a little and is less harsh on their skin when they are playing outside.
