What better way to make your child happy than by taking them for a trip to the playground. Playgrounds are.a great space for children as it allows them to let their imagination run free while doing some much-needed exercise. However, to ensure your child has the best experience at the playground, making sure everything is safe and your child is secure is the best thing you can do. Read this article by Stretch-n-Grow in Winston/Salem, NC, and learn some playground safety tips. Most children tend to run to the climbing structure as soon as they see them. Climbing structures are a great way to let your child develop their motor abilities as well as their imagination. However, it doesn’t hurt to take a quick look to ensure everything is in order. Start by taking a general look at the structure. Is it in good shape? Is anything broken or in need of some repairs? Also, take a look at any sharp point or edge and if necessary, let your child know if there are any areas they should be extra careful about. When it comes to slides, there are a couple of things you should always have in mind. When your child climbs to the top of the slide, make sure there are rails your child can hold on to in case of needing assistance. Also, look at the material the slide is made out of. If the slide is made out of metal, be careful! Metal slides can get very hot and can potentially cause your child to get some serious burns. Lastly, don’t go down the slide with your child. Slides are made for children and normally don’t have the size to fit a parent. Some final advice, never leave your child unattended. Children are normally cautious and think about what they are doing when they are left to play on their own but we advise you to never let your child go play where you can’t see them or can't get to them in case of an emergency.
