Why Is It so Important to Stay Hydrated?

We all know that we need to drink a set amount of water each day, but when it comes to teaching your kids you may not always have an answer to their questions of ‘Why’. Below are some great reasons from Stretch-n-Grow, Winston/Salem to share with your youngster about the importance of staying hydrated.

Stomach Cramps

If you have ever had stomach cramps then you know the pain which can company them. While your child’s diet will have a large say as to how many cramps they get from their meals, increasing their water intake each day is a great way to help their digestive system and facilitate smooth movements with reduced pain and discomfort.

Fuel for Their Brain

If there is one thing that your brain needs, it’s sugar and water. Without these two things, your brain just can’t function. And while your student may think this is only important during school, it also includes when they are playing video games with their friends and are not able to concentrate.

Gives Them Energy

Of course, in addition to staying focused during their schooling and games, staying hydrated also works to keep their bodies active and full of energy. Without sufficient water intake, a child can often feel lethargic, choosing to sit down and rest instead of enjoying time with their friends.

Children's Fitness Is Just as Important as Your Own

If you think that your child could do with some formal exercise in a fun and enjoyable social environment, Stretch-n-Grow, Winston/Salem is the answer.
